Karly Day Reminisrenses
Perhaps an item of interest
would he to mention the
names of a few of the real
pioneer families who we-re in
this eountry when I came.
On Calf Creek were the Wyck-
off family and the Baumans
On Field Creek were the Akes,
Archers and Jesse Wallace. <>n
the Fernando were Unde Ben
Willis and his family, while on
Deer Creek were Grandma
Crouch and her sons-in-law
Jack Latham and Lawrence
Hayes and his brother, Parks
Hayes. Also on Hinton Creek
was a Mr. Hinton, called “Uncle
Bllle.”

On the head of Lost Creek was
Uncle Dick Barton. The spring
where he located is called “The
Barton Spring." Farther down
on !.o*t Creek at u spring
that takes its name from him
was Autney Conner. At the
mouth of Waterholo Crock, i.
mile from Dan Will*’ was Noah

Reopens January .1
The Brady Public Library
will close Sat unlay for the
year It will reopen Wednesday,
January 3rd, of the new year.
Since its establishment the
Brady Public Library has been
i lie of the most popular of all
local institutions. To the ladies
nf Brady who have volunteered
their services in caring for the
hooks and serving the public
or. Wednesday and Sate -lay
afternoons is due the apprecia-
tion and gratitude of the entire
community.

able the library enmmitttee has
gathered together a valuable
collection of books. The many
patrons of the library attest
the popularity and success of
the institution.
