have opened the Heart of Tex
as Cafe, adjoining the Heart of
Texas Motel on North Bridge
Street.

Shan, this week leased the gro-
cery building owned by C. L.
Tate at the corner of South
Bridge and West Uth Streets,
formerly occupied by Gray’*
Fine Food*.
Tate will remodel the
building inside and out. and
the MeShans will install all
new fixtures, steel shelving,
and new stock.
It will be about two months,
however, before the new store
is opened. Bob McShan said
Tuesday.
“We will offer the same cour-
tesy, service, and competitive
price* a* at the north side
store." he added. He will oper-
ate the south side store, and his
father, R. A. McShan, will con-
tinue to run the north side
store at North Bridge and
Crothers Avenue
Both stores will continue to be
operated as a partnership, and
advertised prices will be good
in both stores.

Clarence Friar, well known
young Brady businessman, has
been appointed as the new Mo-
bil consignee for McCulloch
County. The appointment was
made by the Mobil Oil Company.
Friar said he would appre-
ciate the eontinued patronage of
old customers as well as new
