Palestine, Texas, Dec. 6.—Toe Na-
tional and State hanks hare publish-
ed their quarterly statements. These
statements show an increase greater
/than the usual increase. Deposits In
these four banks now aggregate
$1,500,000 with loans approximately
the same amount The banks all
shOw a large amount of cans logs and
surplus on hand in addition to IBs
capital stock.
The growth of the newest bank, the
State Guaranty, is perhaps the moat
remarkable showing, their statement
giving deposits as $312400 and earn-
ings as $21300 In a business extend-
ing over but 20 months.

In justice to’ Mr. Brandeis’ partners,

have repeatedly protested against
this action. ••
Mr. Brandeis made his first great

high priced and of an inferior quality.
At his own expense. Mr. Brandeis
