Play for Pay
Two former ACC football stars
are making their mark in profes-
sional football. Dick "Moose" Sto-
vall all time all-Texas Conference
center is playing his first season
with the Washington Redskins
after playing two seasons with
the Detroit Lions. Dick graduated
from ACC in 1040.
.iACC's Jlatest gift to the play-"for-payranksr'V.
T. Smith is an
outstanding rookie with the Los
Angeles Rams leaders of the Na-
tional League. Commonly known
as Verda "Vitamin" Smith he is
leading the league in punt returns.
Eastern sportswriters and coaches
consider ACC's 1048 Little All-
American halfback a good choice
for rookie-of-the-year honors.
