been changed during the 44th an-
nual Abilene Christian Bible
Lectureship April 15-10.
Classes April 16-19 Monday
through Thursday have been
changed to provide extra time
for morning lectures.

School chorus

tour of Texas.

Wednesday the chorus will ap-
pear at Mineral Wells High
School and at the Pleasant Grove
Church of Christ in Dallas. Fort
Worth Christian College and
Dallas Christian School will hear
the chorus Thursday while Fri-
day it will sing at the Church of
Christ In Conroc.
Then the group will sing at the
Church of Christ In Lake Jackson
Saturday; at the Northslde
Church of Christ in Austin Sun-
day; and at the State Capitol
Monday.
The group will arrive back In
Abilene Monday evening.

Brown Asks Senate
To Support Debate
Appearing before the Senate
Monday night Ed Brown faculty
sponsor of Phi Kappa Delta ask-
ed for special Senate support to
make the forthcoming campus
debates a success.
Brown also proposed that the
Senate encourage a scries of
speech contests on campus which
would develop into an Intramural
speech tournament.
He further proposed that a
joint committee from the Senate
and from Phi Kappa Delta the
national debate society plan and
organize this tournament.
Brown was voted $59 from the
Senate to help finance a trip to
q Fort Worth speech tournament.
This passed by a roll call vote
13-8.
Other Senate business saw
work progress on further Con-
stitutional revisions. The com-
pleted revisions will be presented
at the next Senate meeting for
final approval.
No Optimist Next Week
Hurray! Hurray!
There will be no Optimist next
week following Spring Vacation.
The staff the censors and lho
print shop will got a well-deserved
rest.
The next Optimist will appear
Friday April 20. giving us plenty

Reservation
The Bursar's Office has an-
nounced the schedule for reserv-
ing dormitory rooms for the sum-
mer session and fall semester.
Reservations are made by de-
positing $10 In the Bursar's
Office. All reservations are made
strictly on a first come-first
served basis except "that students
now in school arc given priority
over others according to the
schedule below.
After the priority has passed
reservations made by 'those not
in school are assigned in the
PTIMIST
Austin Firm Chosen
To Design Campus
The contest honors the April
1 blrthdate of James F. Cox for-
mer president dean and Bible
teacher at Abilene Christian.
Three awards up to $50 in cash
will be given. The cash award
will be presented by Dr. and
Mrs. James F. Cox Jr. in mem-
ory of his grandfather Van
Buren Cox and his grandmother
Julia Minerva Cox and also his
father James F. Cox Sr.

19 Campus Groups Will Sing
In Songfest April 19 at AHS
The Sixth Annual SIng-Song
of Abilene Christian will be held
at Abilene High School audi-
torium Saturday April 14 at
7:30 pjn.1
In all 19 groups are entered In
the different divisions.
Sponsored by the Alumni As-
sociation the contest will have
judges from Abilene Colleges and
civic music leaders who will
name first and second place win-
ners in each of the three divis-
ions. CO-CHAIRMEN of the student
committee organizing the Sing-
Song are Gwynel Walker Ozona
senior and Bob Bcakley Mer-
cury junior.
Coordinator of the 10C2 pro-
duction is Bob Hunter director
of alumni relations and originator
of Sing-Song. Frank Morris
speech instructor is technical di-
rector. Tickets will go on sale for $1

The architectural and plan-
ning firm of Jessen Jessen
Millhouse and Greeven of
Austin has been selected to
undertake a comprehensive
Campus Planning Study for
Abilene Christian.
The firm which has been
under contract since March
15 will work closely with the
Board of Trustees adminis-
tration Faculty and staff in
the development of a new
physical campus plant.
Selection of the firm author-
ized by the Board of Trustees
was made by the Campus Plan-
ning Committee. Members of the

programing planning and super-
vision of construction of many
