Wesleyan Service Guild salad
supper were several Corpus
Chrlstl district officers, mem-
bers of the Aransas Pass Wo-
man’s Society of Christian Ser-
vice, members of the Rock-
port Guild, and a retired mis-
sionary now living in Bellevue,
Ohio. The supper was held In
Fellowship Hall of the First
Methodist Church Monday even-
ing.
Mrs. B. \y. Wilson, presi-
dent of the local Guild, presided
and welcomed the guests. Out
of town persons introduced were
Mrs Jack Stapper, Taft, Corpus
Christi district secretary; Mrs
Cody Thomas, district record-
ing secretary; Mrs Curtis Bar-
ber, Ingleside, district record-
ing secretary-elect and presi-
dent of Ingleside Guild; Mrs.
Jack Horton, Rockport, district
chairman of Missionary educa-
tion; Mrs. Jack Hughson, Ingle-
side, district chairman of pro-
gram materials for the W. S.
C. S., and Mrs. J. I. Appleby
from Bellevue, Ohio. Mrs.J.B.
Flagg, Jr., president of the local
W. S. C. S. was presented
also.
Appearing on the program
were Miss Billie Jean
Wilson, scripture, Mrs. Jack
Hughson, a skit, "What Do I
Give To Him?”, and a vocal
solo by Mrs. Ray Klpple. Mrs.
Appleby gave some of the inter-
esting highlights of her work
in Santa Domingo.
Hostesses for the evening
were Mrs. Leroy Ntdbalek,
Mrs. Ray Klpple, and Mrs.
John Meredith. The Easter mo-
tif was carried out in the table
decorations.

AWARDS BANQUET
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Boehnke
and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Prick-
ett Jr. attended the annual
awards banquet of Ford Motor
Company In Houston Saturday.
Boehnke and Prickett were
both honored for their 1965
Sales records. They each re-
ceived a Tophatter award,
Boehnke for New Car Sales
and Prickett for Used Car Sales.
The Tophatter is Fords’ high-
est sales award.
They were accompanied by
Dick Richards and Miss Mary
Katherine Myers.

STATE TWIRLING CHAMP—Lynne Poling, 14, and
her sister, Robin, 10, admire one of the trophies won by
Lynne at the Texas Twirling Festival held March 26-27
at the Baker Hotel in Dallas. Lynne was judged junioi
intermediate state twirling champion. She also won the
state junior beginner strutting championship.
Robin placed fourth in the juvneile intermediate divi-
sion twirling solo competition, fourth in the intermediate
strutting competition, and fourth in all state basic
strut competition. Both girls participated in the Mias
Texas majorette pageant in their respective age groups
Lynne and Robin are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs
Edwin Poling Their teacher is Mrs Frances Whitley
Malek of Robs town.

Six Flags Over Texas. *he 115-
acre theme amusement park lo-
cated in Arlington. Texas, mid-
way between Dallas and Fort
Worth, will open its 1966 season
on Friday, April 16 at 2 p.m.
