THI ONE STOP »«• All you' Shot,
(Editor's Note: The following
is a letter received by Ingleside
Mayor J.D. Fogg from Exxon
Pipeline Company in connection
with the oil tank fire July 26.)
Dear Mayor Fogg:
Exxon Pipeline Company
expresses their appreciation for
the manner in which the
City Officials, Police Depart
ment and Volunteer Fire
Department came to our aid
during our recent tank fire at
Ingleside Station
It was though the combined
efforts of several neighboring
communities working together
that enabled us to control and
finally extinguish the fire
By working through your City
Officials, your Volunteer Fire
Department effectively boosted
volumes of water required by
the Refinery Terminal Fire
Company to enable them to use
their foam system successfully
Your Police Department
performed an excellent job
controlling traffic, crowds and
many other tasks during this
disaster
Without the combined efforts
of all involved, we would not
have had the success in
extinguishing the fire in the
efficient and prompt manner as
we did
Please convey to all involved,
Exxon Pipeline Company's
appreciation for a job well done
Very truly yours,
W.D PRICE

Dear Gardening Friends:
Home vegetable gardening is gaining in popularity all over the nation, according to reports published by the United States
Department of Agriculture South Texas has the climate for practically year long gardening, but especially fall and
spring Many home gardeners think the fall vegetable garden is the best and we are fast approaching that time of year
As you may know, PEARSON'S GARDEN CENTER has been in commercial production of greenhouse tomatoes for two
years We think we have learned a great deal about what it takes to get the most from our sandy soils. For two years we
have sent tomato leaf tissue to Texas A & M for analysis every two weeks This has given us a scientific record of precisely
what is happening to the fertilizer applied to our sandy soils and which fertilizers do better than others. Soils in the
Rockport Aransas Pass-Ingleside area require a complete fertilizer one that not only contains the primary food
elements, but also the minor elements and in specific ratio Our soils also need humus and more humus Based on two
years of leaf analysis, we have had custom formulated an organic base plant food that we will be growing our tomatoes
with this year and we invite you to consider using this product on your own vegetable garden

Green-Glo 6 12 8 is fairly priced at $5 95 per 50 lb bag It will take a lot of guess work out of growing a home garden,
especially in this soil type We are commercial growers and we have worked hard to come up with this product. We
sincerely hope you will come in and take advantage of using a fertilizer made especially for our area
