“ How Does We Ever Get
Stuff Done In DC “
Well it’s Ole Bubba again this week
with some funny stories and quotes
by our legislators and presidents
up in Washington. Shoot you think
maybe some of em might just be
rednecks! I had another story brew
but it will have to wait till I gets all
my ducks in a row. I heard some
feedback that some folks likes this
here colum I does and some folks
didn’t an I can’t please every body
not even goin try. Yep I knows I
don’t use proper English and can’t
spell worth a hoot, but atleast I’ve
got the courage to say what I think
and some folks don’t. I’m just me
fer give me if I’s not to yer likin, I
tries to like everybody even folks I
don’t agrees with. Somebody said
this here language of mine was to
redneckish whatever that means
heck ya must not ever been around
a true one fer sure!
Any now enough of my gripes fer
the week let me get on with the
colum.
Some of these here stories is from a
travel agent up in Washington D.
C. who has to deal with our
congressmen and women and the
senators everyday. You will get a
hoot from these stories and wonder
how anything gets done up there!
A lady congresswoman from New
Hampshire called and ask to get an
isle seat on a plane cause she didn’t
want to sit by the window she was
afraid it would mess up her hair..
This is a true story....WOW
A congressman’s staffer called one
day wanting some tickets to
Capetown the agent began
explaining to her how far away it
was and the need of a passport. She
interrupted the agent and said I
don’t wish to make you sound
stupid or nothing but Capetown is
in Massachusetts. At that the agent
said I beg to differ with you mam
but Capetown is in Africa while
Cape Cod is in Massachusetts. At
that the staffer hung up...
Now who was the dumb one any
hooo!
One of the congressman’s wives call
up and says her and her husband
are going to Canada and she would
like to know will she be able to see
England from Canada. The agent
explain how far away these two
countries were apart at which she
said well I just don’t get it, they
look so close to each other on the
map.....Duh!
By: Bubba Sharp
And they says us rednecks is
Dumb!
A congresswoman calls up the
agent and ask do airlines put some
kind of physical description of their
passengers on their luggage when
they check in. The agent assured
her to his knowledge they didn’t
and he ask her why. She said well
when I check in my luggage they
put FAT on the luggage cards. I
know I am over weight but that is
really rude don’t you think. On that
the agent said let me check and got
on another line to check it out, after
talking to the airlines he told the
congresswoman that was the
destination code FAT for Fresno
California.. And These Folks Make
Our Laws?
Not only are some of the lawmaker
a little on the streached side but
listen to this senator’s aid’s call.
Asking all about a trip to Hawaii
and going over all the cost the male
aide - not pick on females as you
see, said wouldn’t be cheaper to
fly to California and then catch a
train to Hawaii.....Woa didn’t know
Amtrac had Sea Trains.. .HUH?
And of course Ole Bubba wouldn’t
be doin things right without given
ya a couple of presidential quotes
to top things off.. .Right?
Here’s a quote from Dubya ya
know George W. Bush. He was with
the president of Brazil President
Fernando Cardoso and Dubya
says “ Do you have blacks too?
Come on Mr. President haven’t you
ever been to Brazil?
Of course so ya don’t think I’s
picken on Republics here is a quote
from our last Democratic President
William Jefferson Clinton..When
ask if he ever used drugs Bill had
this to say an I quote: I
experimented with marijuana a time
or two, and I didn’t like it. I didn’t
inhale.” Ok Mr. President what
planet do ya think we all come from
anyway!
Well ya’H can tell Ole Bubba might
not be to bright but these fellers
and ladies are supposed to be
College Educated and they run our
government and make our
laws..now if that don’t take the
cake, it ought to make ya all say “
Boy Howdy!”
Well enough I’m tired. If you know
of any of these type stories or any
other knda humorus stories wish
ya’d let me know. This here is Bubba
Sharp sayin so long have a good
week!
This weeks polls:
(1) Do you think are
constitution is being
pillaged?
(2) Do you think we need
some work done on our
judicial system?
(3) Do you know any good
pumpkin recipes?

about plans that offer Medicare
prescription drug coverage.
All 42 million Medicare ben-
eficiaries are eligible to receive this
benefit. But, as is true when con-
sidering any other purchase,
people need to be good consum-
ers.
First, everyone needs to un-
derstand that the Medicare pre-
scription drug coverage is a vol-
untary benefit. No one is required
to take it. You may already have
drug coverage from another source,
such as an employer or a union. If
you are satisfied with your current
coverage, you can choose to stay
with your current plan.
If you decide you want to
sign up for the new benefit, you
will still have to choose the best
plan for you. Unlike most of what
the government has to offer, the
Medicare prescription drug benefit
is not a “one size fits all” program.
