ed the Sigma Gamma club Monday
afternoon. I’laying bridge were, Mrs.

AV. J. Thompson, Mrs. Bert Fuller,
Mrs. Marion McBee, Mra. O. A.
Thompson and Mias Olynda Acklen,
Mra. Guilford held high club as gul
loping prise. Mrs. McBee s.cond,
high and Mrs. Clark cut high.
Contract (luh
The Contract club met Thursday
night with Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Millar
as hos« and hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. George Kdds won
high club trophy. Mr. and Mrs. l<eo
Dickey won high guest scores. Brooks
Davidson cut high.
A sweet course was enjoyed by
Mr. and Mrs. George Edds, Mr. and
Mrs. Payne Briscoe, Mr. and Mrt.
Henry Timberlake, Mr. and Mrs. B.
C. Davidson. Mr. and Mrs. l,eo Dick-
ey, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Collins and Mr
and Mrs. B. G. Anderson.
Bridge Luncheon
A lovely bridge luncheon was held
at the Manhattan Cafe Thursday
with Mrs. Ira Collins as hostess.
The dining room was attractively
decorated with strings of colorful
autumn leaves and floor baskets of
beautiful yellow chrysanthemums. A
small table was centered with a vase
of beautiful hot house chrysanthem-
ums and Chinese lilies in yellow with
ferns.
Place cards and tallies were of the
j.utumn leaves.
A delicious three course luncheon
was served to five tables of guests,
which was followed by bridge the re-
mainder of the afternoon. Mrs. O. A
Thompson was declared winner oi
high score and received a card say-
ing, “A dressed turkey with trim-
mings will be at your door at 6 o’clock
this evening."
Miss Olynda Acklen cut high and
she received a mince meat pie. Mrs.
C. E. Boatright held low and received
a lovely bouquet of flowers in yellow.
All prizes were in keeping with
Thanksgiving.

Friday Bridge Club
The Friday Club enjoyed their
weekly games Friday with Mrs. Asa
Draper as hostess.
Thanksgiving colors ami decora-
tions were used. After a number of
games were played, Mrs. B. G. An-
derson held high club score, Mrs. O.
A. Thompson high guest score, Mrs.
Ira Collins cut high and Mrs. Louis
Armstrong held low score. Each re-
ceived lovely prizes.
A delicious refreshment course was
served to the following: Mesdames,
J. H. Nagy, J. Frank McGee, M. 1..
Moody, T. B. Miller, B. G. Anderson,
!i. O. Middlebrook, F. A. Baldwin, A.
K. Guajardo, Ira Collins, W. H. Cole.
R. R. Holbein, Louis Armstrong. W.
J. Thompson, Roy Cotulla, Leo Dick-
ey and C. E. Boatright.
Bridge Breakfast
Mrs. Chas. Stigall was hostess on
Saturday morning to seven tables of
her friends at a bridge breakfast at
the Mashnttan Cafe.
At nine o’clock the guests assem-
bled at the cafe and were seated at
seven small tables arranged after the
breakfast for bridge.
The dining room was artiatical.y
decorated with strings of cardboard
turkeys and autumn leaves strung
from the comers to the center of the
dining room. The windows held
strings of turkeys and leaves. Yellow
chrystanthemums were also used
Turkeys were also pictured on the
tallies.
After an appetizing breakfast was
served bridge was played until noon.
Mrs. Freddie Baldw-in held high score.
Mrs. T. B. Miller second high and
Mrs. P. F. Baker cut high. Each
were given a nice prize.
Those enjoying this lovely affair
were: Mesdames, Pape Briscoe, C.
C. Forbes. P. F. Baker. B. G. Ander-
son, C. E. Boatright, W. H. Cole.
