Mrs. Stegall was at the piano and some special numbers were sung as well as old songs which the residents enjoyed singing. Rev. and Mrs. T. S. Cox were in charge of the Thursday evening Bibie study. The United Methodist Church is in charge during September. A watermelon party was given for four residents who had August birthdays. They all enjoyed the melon, along with the happy birthday song and other songs. Mrs. Leiter left Friday for a visit in Abilene with her daughter. She returned Monday and reported a wonderful trip. Darlene and Darla Renfro of San Antonio and Mrs. Arch Jones of Woodson visited Mr. and Mrs. Pannell. Mrs. Joe Daws visited friends in the home. Mrs. Clarence Birchett of Midland and Trinity Jackson of Abilene visited Mrs. Birchett. Ruby Richards and Darla visited Mrs. Fany Floy Marrs. Also her brother, Fred T. of Ft. Worth and Mrs. Tom Richards came in to take her to church. Visiting Fanny Cook were Mary Grace Thomas, Pat Morrison, Margaret McClintock and Betty Morrison. John Larshman was in to see his mother. Mr. and Mrs. George Dodson and Richie and Mrs. Gee Parrott visited Ada Collins. Mrs. Cogbum and Esmer Connor visited Mamie Connor. Mrs. Lloyd and Mrs. Hodges In to see Mrs. Ainsworth was her daughter, Betty Jo Beeman, and she went to her daughter’s home for a visit. Sharon and Dirk Moss and Geraldine Miller visited Mr. Odell. Mr. Cook had some of his family in to visit. Here to see Mrs. Merrill, who is now in the hospital, were her children. Mrs. Rex Brown and others of the family visited Mrs. Self. Registering in the guest book were Sallie Richards, Mary Felz, Margaret Glenn, Jewel Lloyd, Mattie Stegall, Ferol Jackson, John Shaw, Betty Hall, Margie Cleveland, Marion Hooper, Johnnie Bell and Jennie Shultz.
