and, another thing is, let’s
have a guest columnist this
time.
Anita and John Strange and
his parents lived in Kermittown
for a long, long time. It’s been
fun to hear from them and to
know things are going so well.
* * *
Here’s Anita:
Dear Maud,
We would love to have some
of this information of our
family in our hometown
newspaper if possible. John has
been working at getting his
degree for six years and we are
so very proud of him. His
Mother is living with us now
and spoiling these two kids of
ours rotten and loving every
minute of it.
John is now working for the
General Service Administration
as an auditor, in the Federal
Building at Fort Worth. He
went to work for them Jan. 8.
He was graduated last
December from West Texas
State University at Canyon
26 Shadowbrook Lane, Hurst.
We have a 10-year-old son,
Chuck, and a 9-month-old
baby girl, Carrie Jo.
My parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Chuck Baker, are still living in
Kermit.
We like it here real well and
John is liking his new career -
can’t say he likes it any better
than the newspaper but surely
different for him.
Went over to see the
Williams and they were both
looking great. Though our boy
had never fished before, he
sure enjoyed trying. They sent
some catfish home with us and
it was so good. Going to have
to go back soon as John’s
Mother just didn’t have time to
get all her talking done.
The kids call her Granna
and she is keeping them for
us while I’m working as a
proofreader at the Dallas
Morning News.
Better close this but hope
we’ll get to see you when you
come this way to see the
Williams.
Our best wishes to you,
John and Anita Strange
