* Bradford Greene and producer, Alice Alexander
This Is the tale of Bradford Greene, young musician and composer,
who joined the navy in a moment of despair and now—a career
ahead of him—can’t get out. And it's a tale of Alice Alexander,
young producer of a play using Greene’s musical score—“Right This
Way”. Greene was given a chance to rehearse his play, but he’s in
the navy for six years and ali that naval authorities could do was
give him a 30-day leave of absence. To top that off, a pretty dancer,
and member of the cast in the play, which opened in Cleveland prior

FIRST CAR OF
1937 TURKEYS
MOVED TODAY
Movement Hits High Ae-

With Price Holding
j 16 CENTS PER POUND
Movement Believed to be
in Full Stride at This
Time.
With the 1937 turkev mar-
ket hitting its real stride for
the first time Friday. Cuer.o's
first carload of dressed tur-
keys was slated to roll out of
the city for northern markets
this afternoon.
With sixteen cent prices
still holding, growers were
unloading thousands of birds
on the DeWitt county market.
Activities at local plants
were geared into high speed
Friday morning as trucks,
wagons and passenger cars
were pressed into service to
bring lead after load cf choice birds
into the city.
On the whole, turkeys were de-
clared to be in good condition,
grdwers apparently offering only
their fat birds and holding back
lighter turkeys for the Xmas
market. j
At least two additional carloads
of turkeys, and possibly three caijs
will probably move Saturday.
Turkeys must be on the tracks
by November 15th to hit the
t Thanksgiving market. It is certain
therefore that the bulk of the De-
Witt county crop will not move
cut until the Christmas market.
