ing enroute from Irkutsk. The land-
;ng was made at 9 a. m. central
standard time. The plane sank into
a mud hole as it came down onto

to resume their flight about 8 p. m.
Far ahead of their time schedule,
Post and Gatty were certain that
barring accident they would arrive

PARIS, June ~;27.—(U.P.) —The
question erf who fias the right of
way in the studded street crossings
in Paris, the pedestrian, or the mo-
torist, has just been settled by Jean
Chiappe, prefect of police. He gave
preference to the pedestrian and
says. “If two pedestrians and two
automobiles are equally pressed for
time, the vehicles risk only loss of
time, gasoline, oil and energy; but
the pedestrians risk their lives.”
