The Purple and White have
certainly had some Impreeetve
victories. They have the leading
team defame in the strong
Southland Conference. Big man

I have aaid all thai in an
attempt to show that Um
Wildcats piay exerting basketball
and they need the support that
we can give them. The turnout
at the flrat few home game was
poor indeed considering the sice
of the campus community and
the fine brand of basketball that
w on display.
In a year when the Wild eats
are truly challenging for the SLC
crown; In a year when they have
Um beat fctjonl atnong Mayor
colleges in Ttxaa; In a year vnVen
they have a terrific defense and
Um second beat field goal
shooter in Um entire country
this is when they need the
support in Um stands. The
proper following and backing of
Um team can make a difference.
We can enjoy some exciting
evenings as we watch the 'Cata
sweep their SLC schedule. Then
all we can do it ft back and
hope Louisiana Teeh and South-
western Louisiana defeat each
other.
