Judge Green of Halletsville was
in Hope last week aud while here
Mr, Green visited the school and
reported it in a most thriving con-
dition.
SKbyers, movers, as regalar as
the day comes.
Hope is improving considerably
here of late. One more new
dwelling and the constable has
moved to towu.
There is some talk going that
Bev. J. W. Sims of Williamsburg
is going to move to Hope. Every-
body is well pleased even with the
idea. We learn that he will oc-
cupy the Jim Johnson dwelling
house.
Several of our boys attended a
ball in the Foard settlement oo
last Monday night They all re-
port a glorious time.
There was a Literary society or-
ganized here on last Tuesday
night the'28th, (there b*ing about
twelve members enrolled and the
followup officers were elected J.
8. Airbart, president; C. A. Sims,
aasistaxrt-president; R. B. Thrift,

treasurer; J. P. Pierce, sergeant,
at-arms^ T. J. Ezzell, reporter.
The bell will be rung at 6 o’clock,
every Tuesday evening. At the
next meeting will be discussed,
