as a full-time undergraduate counselor
effective immediately said Jozell Brister.
assistant dean of the college
Debbie Young Atchley. a 1981 ACL'
graduate will replace Mrs. Riley but the

cretary of financial aid said Gene Linder.
director of financial aid. Mrs. Atchley s
major responsibilities will be the same as
Mrs. Riley's except that she will not do
personal counseling
Mrs Riley will help undergraduate
students plan for their degrees said Miss
Brister. She has not been given an official
title yet because her position is a new one
in the department
Mrs. Rileys office is located in the BA
Counseling Center in Room 124 of the
Administration Building Her advising
hours will be weekdays from after Chapel
until noon and from 1-3 p.m Students may-
call at other times for appointments she
said.
The new position was created because of
a need for a full-time counselor for un-
dergraduate students said Miss Brister.
The full-time faculty previously has been
responsible for advising students she sajd.
but because of the large number of
students needing help they did not have
enough time to advise all of the students
The college has about 1.200 business ma-
jors which makes the ratio of students to
full-time faculty 127 to one
