Seminar for couples scheduled
Registration is still open for the Couples
Communication Seminar sponsored by
the Marriage and Family Institute which
is scheduled to begin Tuesday.
The seminar is designed for both
married and engaged couples said Dale
Hawley intern at the institute and coor-
dinator for the seminar.
The seminar begins at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday and will meet on consecutive
Tuesdays except during Spring Break.
Hawley said the seminar's purpose is to
help couples be better listeners com-
municators on issues and conflict-
resolvers. The cost for attending is $30 per couple
which covers the registration fee and
materials. "This would be a tremendous
investment in your relationship" said Dr.
Tom Milholland assistant director of the
institute.
Couples may register at the institute
located at the corner of East North 20th
and Campus Court or by calling 673-6061 .

Woodlawn: Farewell party
The Woodlawn Church of Christ will
have a farewell party for Ken Edwards
youth minister and his wife Ernie
following Sunday evening services.
Edwards has served as youth minister at
Woodlawn for more than two years. He has
accepted a job as youth minister with the
Jefferson Street Church of Christ in Hobbs
N.M.
Mlnda Street: Woman's Session
The Ladies Bible Class will host the
second annual Women's Session this
Saturday.The theme is "For Women
Only."
Speakers for the session and their topics
are Candyce Roach "You Are
Somebody;" Joyce Hall "Loneliness
Isolation and Boredom;" Smitty
Brecheen "The Total Woman;" Kathye
Wallace "Being Single and Learning to
Like It."
Registration for the session will begin at
9:30a.m. The session will last from 10a.m.
to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served.
Southern Hills: Randy Mayaux
Randy Mayeux a minister from Long
Beach Calif. will speak Sunday night at
Southern Hills Church of Christ on the
topic of discipleship.
Also the deadline to turn in money for
the engaged couples retreat is this Sunday.
The retreat is scheduled for March 5 and 6.
Gary and Deanna Beachamp from Dallas
will speak.
University: New Class
A new class will begin Sunday morning
at the University Church of Christ for
engaged couples. The class is entitled
"Sexual Intimacy" and will be taught by
Dr. Mark Cunningham.
A sandwich supper is scheduled after the
Sunday evening services in the ActivityP
Center. The charge is 50 cents per person.

Bill Luttrell minister at Hillcrest
Church of Christ will speak to the college
class Wednesday evening as part of the
Special Speaker Series at 16th and Vine
Church of Christ. His topic is ''God Leads
You."
Baker Heights: Devotional
The young singles at Baker Heights
Church of Christ will have a devotional w
Sunday night after services in the home of
Hank Davis Route 4 View. Transporta-
tion will be provided.
Also the Training Evangelists and
Missionaries group will meet with Dean
Stewart Baker Heights minister of
evangelism and Marvin Ancell minister jl
of education and youth on Thursday from
7-9 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. The
group will conclude its study of "The Life
of Christ."
Hillcrest: Marriage film
"How to Kill Communication" the fifth
film in the BrecheenFaulkner Marriage
Enrichment series will be shown at 7 p.m.
Wednesday in the auditorium at Hillcrest
Church of Christ.
Minter Lane: Adult classes
New classes will begin Wednesday night
for the adult groups at Minter Lane Church
of Christ.
The young singles class will have a
series of lessons dealing with Allan Loy
McGinnis' book The Friendship Factor.
The young married group will use H.
Norman Wright's book Communication
the Key to Your Marriage as its study
material. The middle-age group will study
"The Christian in Midlife Crisis."
