shower Saturday evening, De-
cember 1, in the home of Mrs. L.
V. Blankenship. Hostesses
were Mrs. Carroll Ford, Mrs. I.
H Tipton, Mrs. C. E. Altom,
Mrs Vernon Jordon, and Mrs.
Margo Irwin
The honoree received an
attractive array of gifts Mrs.
David Blankenship assisted in
opening the gifts.
The refreshment table was
covered with a white lace doth
and had as a centerpiece a
Rock-A-By Baby Tree in pink
and blue colors.
Cakes, iced in white and
decorated in pink and blue,
were served by Mrs. C. E.
Altom, Mrs. I.H Tipton served
the punch. Mints and nuts
completed the party fare.
Football Banquet
Slated Jan. 14
By Booster Club
Plans are being made by the
Ingleside Football Booster Club
for the annual football banquet
The banquet will be held at
Little Bob’s Restaurant in
Aransas Pass at 7 p m January
14. The football sweetheart will
be announced and awards
presented to the football boys.

We are especially proud of our
football boys. They did a real
good job this year and we're
looking forward to another good
season next year,” said George
Hydrick, club president.
Hydrwrk also announced that
the half calf was won by Sue
Stewart in a drawing held
November 9th. He said the
treasury is in good shape and
plans are being made to build a
seven-man sled for the football
boys to practice with.
HD Luncheon
To Be Held
In Dubose Home
The Ingleside Home Demon-
station Club will meet at II
o'clock Thursday morning.
December 6. in the home of
Mrs. D. H. Dubose. A covered
dish luncheon will be served at
noon and members having
birthdays in October. Novem-
ber, and December will be
presented gifts.
Those desiring to work on
slippers for patients in the Taft
Nursing Home may do so.
Plans will be made for the
annual Christmas party for club
members and their families.

Members At
Horse Show
An open horse show was held
Saturday at the county fair-
grounds in Sinton with several
Ingleside youngsters partici-
pating.
Trophies were presented to
the first place winners with
ribbons being awarded to
second through fifth place
winners.
Ingleside 4-H club members
serving in the concession stand
were Mrs. Mary Polasek,
Marcus and Bobby Polasek,
Julie Young. Pamela Adams,
and Sherrie Adams. In the Coke
wagon were Mrs. Joyce Turner,
Donetta Turner, Mary Beth
Rhule, and Mark Majek, all of
Ingleside.
Proceeds from the horse show
will go to the building fund for
the recreation center to be built
in Brownwood, Texas.
Local 4-H club members are
presently selling chocolate and
old fashioned hard Christinas
candy to help raise funds for the
new center.

Ingleside For
Maris M. Vasquez
Maria M. Vasquex. 73, of
Ingleside, died Sunday night in
a Corpus Christi hospital. Mrs
Vasquez had been a resident of
Ingleside since 1941.
She was a member of the
First Baptist Church Services
were held for Mrs. Vasquez at 4
p.m. at the Templo Bautista in
Ingleside Tuesday. Burial was
in the Gregory-Cemetery
Mrs. Vasquez is survived by
four sons. Felipe Villanueva of
San Juan, Texas. Epifinio
Vasquez and Seferino Vasquez
of Corpus Christi, and Luis M.
Vasquez of Ingleside; 15
grandchildren and 15 great
grandchildren.

Week of Prayer
Being* Observed
By Baptists
The Week of Prayer for
Foreign Missions will be
observed this week in the First
Baptist Church, Ingleside. The
observance began Sunday.
December 2, and will continue
all week. All departments of the
church will participate in the
program of study and prayer,
which will culminate in the
Lottie Moon Christmas Offer-
ing. .1
Women of the Church were
scheduled to meet at 9:30
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
and Friday mornings for the
study of Missions and for prayer
services. Mrs. Elmer Atkins
was the leader for Monday;
Mrs. Carroll Ford, Tuesday,
Mrs. I. H. Tipton, Thursday and
Mrs. Dee Blasingame for
Friday.
Mrs. Roy Calvert and the
youth of the church will present
the program Wednesday even-
ing. A covered dish dinner will
be held in the Fellowship Hall at
6:30, preceding the program.
METHODIST WOMEN
HAVE PROJECT
A bazaar and food aale,
including a Poor Boy s Dinner
will be held Friday. December
7, in the Fellowship Hall of
Ingleside United Methodist
Chirch. An art exhibit, all
kinds of handmade articles, and
a White Elephant sale are some
of the attractions listed
The event is sponsored by the
Women of the Church and the
proceeds will be used to help the
church meet its obligations at
the end of the year.
Tickets for the Poor Boy’s
meal are $1.50 and may be
purchased at the door.
