The Aransas Pass 4-H Club
will hold a meeting at 7:30 p.
m. next Tuesday at the Lone
Star Park Building it was an-
nounced this week.
An outside speaker, not yet
announced, will address the
group. A selection of a 4-H
queen will also lx* made.
Committees will be appoint-
ed to take charge of coro-
nation and float arrangements
next month. Girls must have
been 4-H members for at least
three months to be eligible for
queen.
All members are urged to
attend the meeting. Visitors
and new members will also
be welcomed.

Shrimp Landings
Take Drop In
Past Week
Shrimp landings at Aransas
Pass and Rockport, which last
week pushed past the 100,000
pound mark for the first time
since late March, dropped to
67,703 pounds during the past
week, according to Bert
Strock, statistician for the U.
S. Bureau of Commercial
Fisheries.
The shrimp was landed at
the two ports by 93 trawlers,
Strock rt purled. The previous
weeks landings at the two
ports- were 106,016 pounds.
Landings at Aransas Pass
included 30,893 pounds of
brown shrimp, 13.768 pounds
of whites and 1.390 pounds
of pinks. Rockport landings
included 12,953 pounds of
browns and 8,699 pounds of
whites.
Week end landings at Ai-
ansas Pass included 13,540
pounds of browns and 8,285
pounds of whites. Week end
landings at Rockport were
6 363 pounds of browns and
5 607 pounds of whites.
