of their ton and daughter-

Their friends are invited to

Miss Erma Gilliger and
Charles Bower were married
in Pawnee, Okla. Sept. 14,
1914. They have lived here
the past 8 years, moving from
Corpus Christi. Mr. Bower
is & retired carpenter and
ship builder.
The couple also has three
daughters, Mrs. Marvin Bird-
well, San Antonio; Mrs. Bet-
ty Humphries, Corpus Chris-
ti; and Mrs. Douglas Freeze,
Port Isabel; nine grandchild-
ren and 7 great-grandchild-
dren.

Elected By
Grandmothers
New officers were elected
last Friday at a meeting of
the Aransas Pass Grandmoth-
ers Club when they met at
the Fellowship Hall of the
First Methodist Church. Host-
esses were Mrs V. C. Reneau.
Mrs. Mary Agnes Howard and
Mrs. S. E. Barnett.
President for the 1964-65
year is Mrs. J. P. Hughson;
Mrs. Glee Copeland, vice
president; Mrs. Naomi Hop-
kins, secretary; Mrs. Leora
Young, treasurer.
Annual reports were giv-
en by the different commit-
tee chairmen, and Mrs Hugh-
son and Mrs. Snyder were in
charge of the memorial ser-
vice.
Birthday honorees for July,
August and September were
recognized and presented a
lovely pink rose
Refreshments of coffee,
punch and cake were served
to the fourteen members at-
tending.
Next meeting will be Oct. 2
at the home of Mrs Leta
Gane with Mrs Hughson as
co-hostes?

Conclude Study
Circle 22 of the Presbyte-
rian Women of the Church
concluded this year's group
of studies of the Psalms
Tuesday, Sept. 8 at the home
of Mrs. Clara Rice.
The last general meeting
of this church year will be
held at the church Sept. 15
with a covered dish luncheon,
at which time plans will be
made for the new year be-
ginning Oct. 6
Mrs. W. A Collins, circle
chairman, presided and led
the group in the discussion
of the Wisdom Psalms.
NEW ARRIVAL
Mr. and Mrs L. C. Wil-
liams are parents of a daugh-
ter born Sept. 7 at Aransas
Hospital. She weighed 6
pounds and 12 ounces, and
has been named Deenene
Marie.
