A meeting of the Aransas
Pass Grandmothers Club will
be held Friday at 2:30 in the
home of Mrs Emil Konvicki,

Cross Col Sheridan outlined
procedures used by the Red
Cross in case of hurricane
disaster, detailing how they
seek to establish order from
chaos He explained that the
Red Cross is financed solely by
voluntary contributions, and
that all Red Cross help is free, a
gift from the American people

will be Aug. 14 at V.F W Hall,
Sheriff Hob Hughes will explain
the “Neighborhood Watch”

Fellowship met Monday even-
ing, July 22, in a monthly
meeting in the fellowship hall of
the First Christian Church The

Following the business meet-
ing. Mrs Gladys Farley led the
group in a worship service using

Shalom". Her scriptures were
Isaiah II. Micah 4 and Galatians
5 She announced that the new
CWF song was “People of
Peace". The group sang, "O
Master Let Me Walk with Thee"
with Mrs N I) Sanford at the
piano.
A missionary offering was
taken and placed beneath a
large placard showing biblical
characters referred to in the
lesson
Cake and punch were served
by Mrs. Farley.

Miss Helen Carmen Greiner
of Aransas Pass and Daniel F
Fordham were married in a
double ring cermony, July 19, in
the Calvary Baptist Church
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Edith Greiner and the
groom is the son of Mr and Mrs
Fred W Fordham of Irving,
Texas
The Rev. Dean Burleigh read
the wedding vows in a setting of
flowers and greenery. Tradi-
tional wedding music was
played by Gary Jennings and
Steven Fordham, brother of the
groom, sang “We've Only Just
Begun”, “Love is a Many
Splendored Thing" and "The
lord’s Prayer".
The bride was given in
marriage by her brother.

A-line gown of peau de soie with
a jacket of Venice lace styled
with a stand up collar, fitted
bodice and long full sheer cuffed
sleeves
A pearl lace Juliet cap held
her veil of illusion She carried a
bouquet of white carnations,

The bride's mother wore a
floor length dress of pink crepe
and bone accessories. The
groom’s mother wore a floor
length pmk double knit dress
with matching accessories.
Both wore pink carnation
corsages accented with pink
roses.
Following the ceremony, a
reception was held in the home
of Mr and Mrs. Bill Neville.
The bride's table was laid with
candlelight lace and centered
with her bouquet flanked by
pink candles. The cake was

pink and lavender roses and lily
of the valley.
Miss Mary Sue Rassmussen
was in charge of the guest book.
Serving in the house party were

Following a wedding trip to
Mexico, the couple is at home in
Port Aransas.
The bride is a 1972 graduate of
Aransas Pass High School. The
groom, a graduate of McAuther
High School in Irving, attended
Dallas Baptist College, and is
presently serving with the U.S.
Coast Guard in Port Aransas.

The Youth Choir of the First
Baptist Church of Aransas Pass
will present a folk musical
entitled "Come Together" Sun-
day night, August 4 at 7 p m
The choir is under the
direction of Joe Cook, summer
youth worker Members of the

playing drums. Mark Beavers,
guitar and Kathy Longino,
