Program Ends
The Port Aransas Summer
Recreation Program, which has
been In progress for several
weeks, ended August 4. Al-
most a hundred school-age chil-
dren, both boys and girls, part-
icipated In the summer pro-
gram.
Climaxing the program was
the presentation Friday night
of awards In Olsen Elemen-
tary School gymnasium. Tro-
phies were presented to those
with perfect attendance, pins
went to those who were win-
ners In sports competition the
final day, and each participant
In the program received a cert-
ificate.
Jim Pratt, counselor, made
the presentations.
Flour Bluff, with a record
at 13 wins and one loss, won
the Port Aransas Youth Coun-
cil softball tournament. On
Thursday night at the softball
field each member at the win-
ning team received a trophy.
Pratt presented the trophies.
The following Port Aransas
young people participated In the
summer recreation program:

Friday night to participants in the Port Aransas Sum-
mer Recreation Program, which ended last week. Jim

Brown, Clyde McNatt, and Elbert Gillespie; center row
Patricia McNatt, Frankie Martin, Eddie O’Donnell,
Nona Farley and Leslie Willey; back row—Rickey Foa-

an and Jim Parity. Four who qualified for the trophies,
