Under Texas’ so-called "right to work" law, the incomes
of Texas people have fallen way behind the reat.of the na-
tion. Because most Texans have not had the right'to bargain
effectively for better wages, we have always been behind
other states but things have actually gotten much worse
since 1947 when the so-called right to work law was passed.
Texas is one of the few states to have enacted this unfortu-
nate and harmful law.
Thanks to the leadership of our Texan President, Lyndon
B. Johnson, we now have a chance to put the familv wage-
earners of Texas back on an even basis with people tnrough-

Let President Johnson know that Texans stand behind him
in his program to help the wage earners of Texas. Write
your Congressman today and ask him to support the Pres-
ident by voting to repeal section 14-B of Taft-Harlley. You’ll
be helping the economy of Texas and helping your children
to grow up in a state with greater opportunity for all in the
years ahead.
