establishing a Uniform fee for medical services and there-
fore not misconstrue the following resolution which was :
adopted unanimously by those present at the meeting:
Resolved, That a uniform fee for medical services is best and most j
catisfactory for both those who employ physicians and the physicians;j
therefore, that the following fees shall obtain:

Now, this is not a peculiar effort to raise the fees; in fact, you will Herniotomy

same work; but an effort to make them uniform and to let the layman
know what should be charged and what all the best element of doctors
have agreed to charge. I am sure that all respectable doctors in the
county will adhere to these fees, and would warn the laymen against

deeply sympathizes with the grief-

cultural and Mechanical College of
Texas, that one copy be given pub-
lication in the “Battalion,” that
one copy be delivered to The
LaGrange Journal, and that one
copy be sent, as an expression of
our sympathy and respect, to the
family of our friend, Charles Brad-
shaw Killough.

Will Sail for Europe.
Last Wednesday night at the
Handel Hall the LaGrange Maeti-
nerchor, which has been under the
direction of George E. Lenert, pre-
sented to him a handsome leather
suitcase and members of the Han-
del Club some very useful traveling
necessities, and accompanying the
presentation were encouraging
words and best wishes for a safe
return.
Mr. Lenert, accompanied by his
mother, and sister, Miss Nora, will
sail for Europe about the 15th in-
stant. Mrs. Lenert and Miss Nora
will precede him to New York to
visit Aurelius Lenert, and from
that port the three will sail. Our
best wishes accompany them.
A two-story residence is being
erected by A. F. Weber on South
Franklin strret, opposite the ed-
itor's home. When completed it
will add greatly to the appearance
of that part of our little city.
