Card of Thanks
Thanks to the Good People of La
Grange!
About 16 years ago our mother,
Mrs. C. E. Deese, moved to La
Grange to make her home for
the duration of the war.
The citizens of La Grange were
so friendly and kind that she
chose to make the town her per-
manent home. $?ben some of us
moved farther away from that
area, we selfishly asked her to
move closer to us. She refused
because she wanted to be near to
her friends and the church that
she loved so well. She wanted,
whenever possible, to watch the
sun rise over the hills along the
Colorado River; she looked for-
ward to another day of full-liv-
ing in pleasant surroundings.
You helped to make her last
years ones of happiness.
From her good neighbors and,
friends who comforted her in
times of sorrow to the strangers
who were kind enough to smile
and say “Good Morning” when
they passed, we express our gra-
titude.
The family of Mrs. C. E. Deese
