NEW LINE OF TALLEYS
Flashing some of the best baseball
uean at Coca Cola Park this season,
the LaGrange Demons slugged their
way to an easy 6 to 1 victory over
the Moulton Eagles, Sunday. It was
the third consecutive defeat that the
locals have administered to Moulton
this season.
Realizing that they must win all
of their remaining games in order to ! —Janssen Bros,
keep in the running for the playoff
championship, the locals hustled
harder than ever before this season.
They '“hopped” all over
ton twirler, in the first two innings,
hammering out six hits and making
each hit count for a run. Thereafter,
they seemed content to coast alon ;
and secured but two hits the remain-
der of the game.
L. (Skinny) Rosenberg started on
the mound for LaGrange and hurled
five scoreless innings. He was
lieved by George Rosenberg at the
start of the sixth stanza, and it was
in this inning that the visitors scored
their only run. Rudy Kubena, the
Demons’ new slugger and leading
hitter of the league, took over the
mound duties in the ninth inning and
escaped without being scored upon.
