ing plans and preparations for
their annual stew supper which

C. building on Sunday, April 27,

Kansteiner were held last Tues-
day at the Columbus Funeral
Home with burial in the Eagle
Lake cemetery. Mr. Kansteiner
died after suffering a heart at-
tack two weeks ago. He was the
brother of Ewald Kansteiner of
Elllnger.
Patient Returns Home
Frank Tobias has returned
home after spending several days
it. the Fayette Memorial Hospi-
tal. He is reported to be recupe-
rating nicely.

Farm Bureau Holds Meeting
The Ammannsville
Farm Bureau held its monthly
meeting at the KJT Hall in Am-
mannsville on Thursday night
with 23 memoers present.
President Edgar Anders open-
ed the meeting; the treasurer
gave the financial report; and
Mr. Biil Meyer, the insurance a-
gent was the main speaker. New
business was to have a dance on
May 14 with the Jurecka Orches-
tra furnishing the music.

njpped the Plum team 3 to 2 in
an unfinished game, after the
Plum team called it quits, not be-
ing satisfied with the umpire’s1

First Grandson

a six pound, 14 ounce baby boy,
born at the Heights hospital on

Home Demonstration Meeting
The La Bahia Home Demon- *, ■
stration Club met on April 17, at^
the home of Mrs. Howard Fuchs
with twelve members and two
visitors present. Mrs. Melvin
Wickel gave the Council report,
and Mrs. Kerr discussed on mov-
ing the HD Kitchen to the Fair
Grounds. The club voted the
measure in.
In celebration of National HD K ’
Week the group voted to place*
flowers in the local church.
