Brief Meeting Held
A brief meeting of the Bethle-
hem Lutheran Ladles Aid was
held after the worship service
an Sunday morning.
The meeting was held to de-
cide whether or not the Ladies
Aid wartt to continue meeting
with the Brotherhood on the
fourth Monday evening each
month or go back to an afternoon
meeting by themselves. The
count of vote showed 24 were in
fsvor to continue having their
meeting with the Brotherhood

day time meeting.

A party for all 4-H Club mem-
bers and their guests will be held

cing are planned for this event.
The council elected officers
for 1960: chairman, Judy Krebs;
girl’s vice-chairman, Jaunita Sue
Synnott; boy’s vice-chairman,
Jimmy Schaefer; secretary, Gale
Lamascus; treasurer, Virginia
Winkler; and ^reporter, Antoinet-
te McCormick.
The committee chairmen for
the next year are: program, Mar-
garet Tiemann; finance, Virginia
Winkler; and recreation, Audrey
Frers.
It was announced that Co-op
day will be held on Oct. 31 in
Corpus Christi. The county's co-
op team will attend and any a-
dults who are planning to coach
boys and girls in the co-op de-
monstrations are also eligible to
go.

Missionary Sooiety Meets
The Women’s Missionary So-
ciety of the Carmine Martin Lu-
ther church met recently with
the Rev. A. M. Hannemann and
the following members present,
Mesdames, A. M. Hannemann,
Henry Bowmer, M. H. Bathe,
M. G. Bathe, E. P. Jacob, I. A.
Ullrich, Milton Albert, Elmo
Noak, and M. L. Zwememann,
Mrs. Elmo Noak was the devotio-
nal Leader and Rev. Hannemann
presented the topic. “The Christ
Possessed Life is a continued
War fare", based on Paul’s let-
ter to the Ephesians, 6-10-16.
Due to the absence of the pre-
sident and vice-president Mrs.
M. G. Bathe presided over the
meeting. It was voted that the
meetings during the fall and win-
ter months were to begin at 7:30
instead of 8 p. m. The meeting
closed with the Lord’s prayer.
