Texas cities meet on the Cuero links
in the annual South Texas Golf As-
sociation tournament.
Four representatives from each
town in the association, including
Kingsville, Karnes City, Kennedy,
Yoakum, Yorktown, Goliad, Victoria),
Eagle Pass. Luling, Lockhart, Gon-
zales, Seguin, New Braunfels, and
Cuerd, will vie in the tourney which
is considered one of the outstanding
amateur golf tournaments staged in
Texas annually.

garding to the tattooing of turkeys.
The county agent has been busy
putting'the tattoo identification marks
on the turkeys being prepared for
market, and his work has carried him
to various sections of

tottooing,” he declared, “and I can
tattoo any design you want on the
turkeys for the Turkey Trot.” he add-
ed. “Prints * of beautiful ladies,

the Navy Department that the dirig-
ible would visit Washington, Balti-

Home was entered by robbers for th«

Saturday night, loot amounting to ap-
proximately $165 being secured. The

here the thieves secured $9 in pen-
nies. ^
The robbery occurred sometime af-
ter midnight, and entrance to the
Valenta store wab gained by prising
off a lathe on the front of the build-
ing. The thieves were foiled In their
attempt to enter the bank vault or to
open the store safe; and secured only
a small amount of change satisfying
themselves with about $165 worth of
merchandise, mainly men's clothing.
With tools secured from the Valenta
store the robbers drilled their way in-
to the Pecek store, but obtained only
a small loot here.

has’ been sent for, according to infor-
mation given the Record by the Yoa-
kum Herald Monday afternoon. No
other clues are available to lead to

Four Local Herds Tested by
Dr. Laur&ine Monday

Four Cuero dairy herds were given
tuberculin tests Monday by Dr. L. J.
Lauraine, accredited veterinarian of
Gonzales, who yil return to Cuero
Thursday to read these tests and to
test the herds of any other dairy
farmers who may so desire.
Dr. Lauraine states that these- will
be the last tests that he will be able
to make for several weeks as he will
be making state tests and will not be
able to return to Cuero until they are
completed, He is urging, therefore,
that all who have cows to be test-
