Description: Land deed certificate presented to Edward B. Leigh by the governor of Texas, Joseph D. Sayers. The certificate states: "Edward B. Leigh apee of James Sellers and George L. Leigh his heirs or assigns FOREVER Six Hundred and Forty Acres of LAND." The land being granted to Leigh is located in Kerr County and is known as section number 2 on the waters of Cypress Creek.

Description: Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter concerning fire engines and different cards to be sent. The photograph on the reverse side shows an old steamer engine, "Steamer #3" a part of the Battle Creek Fire Department in Battle Creek Michigan. There is a hose attached to the engine near the bottom while the steamer has smoke puffing out of the top.
