Mamure Castle i a historical castle located along the coast near the Bozdoğan neighborhood of Anamur district of Mersin, in the South of Turkey. designed to protect against pirates, Mamure Castle was repaired during the Byzantine era and was made larger by Alaattin Keykubat I of Seljuk Turks. In 1469, the castle was annexed by the Ottoman Empire and has been continously repaired for centuries.
