Postcard of the Anson Mills Building. The Anson Mills Building is a historic building located at 303 North Oregon Street in El Paso, Texas. The building stands on the original site of the 1832 Ponce de León ranch. Anson Mills hired Henry C. Trost of the Trost and Trost architectural firm to design and construct the building. Postcard from Fred to his sister Mrs. Gus Jentsch. The correspondence is written in German. On the front is a photograph of a brick building on a corner of a street. The building is two floors and houses the Little Red Onion Cafe and the Sanitex Clothes Shop. The clothes shop has a few stairs leading up to its door. Part of the shops can be seen through the front windows. The sidewalk in front of the stores is lined with trees.

Johnston to George Pendexter telling him of a recent fire they had "the 11th and one Sunday morning at 3 a.m." The photograph shows a devastated building with a caption that reads: "Great Fendrich Fire Ruins Main St. Looking West from 2nd St. Evansville, Indiana." The building in the center is almost completely destroyed while the one to its left has most of its walls still standing though its roof is gone.
