The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with E. Harold Roy. Roy was born in Eli, Kentucky on 17 December 1924. Upon entering the Navy in 1943 he was sent to Great Lakes Naval Training Station for boot camp. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the USS Chatelain (DE-149).
