Oral History Interview with Whayland Green, March 20, 2017

Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Whayland Greene. Greene joined the Army in August, 1943 and trained at Camp Fannin. When he went overseas, he went to New Guinea and joined the 126th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division. He participated in the invasions of Leyte and Luzon with his outfit and recalls a few anecdotes of his combat experiences. He was discharged in January 1946.

Oral History Interview with Robert Longway, October 20, 2017

Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Robert Longway. Longway joined the Navy in April of 1943. He went to school to learn visual communications, graduating as a Third Class Petty Officer. He served in the Navy Armed Guard as a signalman and communication officer. Longway traveled on Victory and Liberty ships and was aboard five ships that sunk.
