He entered the Army in March, 1944 and took his basic training at Ft. Blanding, Florida. Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Afton Keeton. Keeton joined the Navy in July of 1942. He completed Hospital Corps School and became a Pharmacist Mate.
