Description:
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Victor Delano. Delano graduated from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis in 1941, and served as a Junior Division Officer and worked in the Fire Control Division aboard the USS West Virginia (BB-48). The battleship was docked in Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked on 7 December 1941. Delano also served in the Korean War and retired in 1969.
