McKinney, in which both men agree to resolve their dispute over "an affair of honor" by pleading their respective cases to an Board of Honor consisting of Stephen F. Austin, Dr. Branch T. Archer, William H. Wharton, and Sam Houston. Martin and McKinney also agree to honor the final decision of the board.
