Stovepipe Attachment.

Description: Patent for a new and improved stovepipe attachment. This design "consists of a receptacle formed in two parts, which are secured together around the stovepipe just below the point where the latter enters the chimney immediately above the stove. The object of [the] invention is to construct an attachment which may be readily secured to or detached from the pipe for the purpose of catching any dirt or soot which may drop from the chimney, thus preventing it from reaching the stove" (lines 14-24).
