Description:
Patent for sash lock and lift that "relates to improvements in devices for operating window-sashes, and especially provides an improved means for operating the upper sash and locking the same securely in any desired position with respect to the lower sash, thus obviating the necessity for reaching up for the upper sash when it is desired to raise or lower the same or to lock it in open position for the purpose of ventilation" (lines 12-21) including instructions and illustrations
