Description: Patent for "axles for carriages, wagons, &c., and has for its object the construction of an axle in such a manner as to enable the spindle and stock to be removed and replaced by a new one when worn out without going to the expense and trouble of going to a blacksmith." It has an inner vessel, the outer vessel containing water. The two vessels are easily disconnected.
