The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Robert Goolsby. Goolsby was born in Winters, Texas on 29 March 1922 and graduated from high school in 1939. Upon joining the Army in 1941, he underwent basic training at Fort Bliss, Texas. He was assigned to the Army Medical Corps and received training as a medical technician.
