[Personal Account of the Attack on Pearl Harbor, 1987]

Description: Xeroxed personal account of the attack on Pearl Harbor written by Theodore "Ted" Blahnik. He briefly discusses his life and service before the attack and then details the day of the attack from his perspective aboard the USS Helena (CL-50). The Helena was struck by a Japanese bomb and later torpedoed. She ultimately capsized but did not sink. Blahnik was one of 165 survivors aboard the USS Helena that abandoned ship.
