Description: Copy of transcript for a letter from Elias R. Wightman to Gail Borden, regarding the survey of lands near Live Oak Bayou, between Trespalacios and San Bernardo, and the peninsula. Description: Copy of transcript for a Chain of Correspondence between the Commissioners of Texas, in which the commissioners discuss a proposal to travel to purchase a steamboat for protection of the coastlines and to ensure safe transportation of troops, immigrants and supplies. Over the course of the correspondence, the commissioners agree on the total amount and terms of the loan that will pay for the vessel.
