Copy of transcript for a letter from J. W. Collins to Col. S. F. Austin, in which Collins introduces his friend and fellow soldier in the Louisiana Guard, Mr. Robert C. Morris. Collins vouches for Morris' skill as a soldier and tactician, as well as, his sincere loyalty to the causes of his countrymen. Collins also asks where his service is needed the most.
