Description: Letter from I. H. Kempner to Edwin D. Hunter explaining that a serious fall five months ago resulted in a broken bone in his left leg, significantly limiting his work hours and affecting his memory and recollection. Despite believing a better choice for chairman could be made under the circumstances, he expresses his willingness to accept the appointment and try to render efficient service if Hunter urges him to do so.
