Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Lowell Metheny. Metheny was drafted into the Army in July, 1943. He qualified for the Army Specialized Training Program, but when it ended, he was sent to the 42nd Infantry Division in Oklahoma. He served as a mechanic in the Headquarters Company of the 242nd Infantry Regiment in motor transport. He went to France with the unit.
