David Wendel, Rector. The funeral arrangements were made through Sutton-Sutton Mortuary, Inc. and he was buried in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery near San Antonio, Texas.

Oral History Interview with Lowell Hoehne, August 13, 2004

Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Lowell Hoehne. Hoehne joined the Army in February, 1943 and trained in auto mechanics. He was assigned to the 926th Engineer Aviation Regiment and shipped to England in August 1943. He went to Normandy with on a tractor and worked with a map reproduction section. Hoehne recalls several anecdotes about his service in France: guard duty, Paris, food, teaching a Frenchman to drive, etc.
