The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Bill Sheehan. Sheehan joined the Navy in October of 1942. He was trained as an aviation machinist mate and became a flight engineer on a PBM Mariner. Sheehan discusses engine maintenance and the challenges of minimizing the constant corrosion that threatened the plane.
