Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Earl Carlin. Carlin joined the Navy in June of 1943. He served as a Seaman aboard the USS LCI(R)-472. Carlin oversaw steering the ship, as well as the annunciator and compass on board. They transported troops to Hawaii, the Aleutians, Kwajalein, Eniwetok and New Guinea.
