[Newspaper Clipping: Humanics of Medicine]

Description: Newspaper clipping of an article about doctor-patient relations, and physicians' responsibility to make patients feel welcome and important. Included are a few suggestions on how physicians can improve. The article was inspired by a Canadian Supreme Court Justice's suggestion that medical schools should teach medical students the "Humanics of Medicine." On the back of the clipping is part of an advertisement for For Motor Company, Lincoln-Mercury Division.

Description: Picture hat of finely woven black straw. The low, domed crown has a 1" black velvet hatband. The wide, circular brim is edged in a narrow band of black velvet and is overlaid by black tulle. Trimmed at the front with a cluster of artificial flowers of pinks and peach silk organza and velvet, and sprigs of smaller flowers. Unlined; black grosgrain ribbon headband. Designer's label inside: "Model / Mr. Iaan / Vancouver, B.C.", with a tiny artificial violet blossom attached to top of label.
